The Darkness

door killea

When the darkness creeps upon me
And fills me with sadness so deep
I am alone as always
Forever tired, unable to sleep
I manage to do my work
Barely coping with daily tasks
No-one sees the pain I feel
If by chance someone asks
I smile and say I'm okay
Whilst my internal voice screams
At night, when I close my eyes
Come the heart-breaking dreams
Although I know this too will pass
As I've learned to face each session
It really is bloody hard
To live one's life with depression.
