I Always Wear Black
When you robbed me of my childhood
Didn't you know my life would be a mess
Couldn't you see the pain you caused me
Didn't you know, couldn't you guess
It was so long ago, you say
I must look forward, and not back
And you wonder why
I always wear black
The colour suits me
and serves me well
To mourn the little girl
Who went through hell
A child so good and innocent
Never causing any strife
Trying to survive…..
Ever in fear for her life
Her spirit broken
Everything resolved with a whack
She disappeared within herself
Never to come back
And I will forever wear black
