door backlash

phantoms on the wall
in parallel with
the dying of the city
in the blue-black clouds
tension waits for explosion

curtains drawn, sheets rolled
teevee screens vibrating
a stage for horror and lost lovers
covering a state with doom

depends, the breeze to whisper forever
or just until it's blocked by trees
who in their turn shiver
following the courtesy of flow

the dark is like a damper

hours rolling their own speed
restraining every human specie
into a line of perfect timing

until another night to come
to cover or expose
