Christmas Day
So much to say
no-one to listen
it's a pretty bleak day
my lowest point reached
everywhere is Christmas
no energy left to fight the beast
feel nothing but listless
have to turn up the heat
to warm my shivering body
maybe later
I'll have a hot toddy
welcome end of a year so horrid
when he said goodbye
he kissed me on the forehead
sooner or later
we would have had to part ways
but did it have to happen
today of all days?

bij kerstmis wordt alles uitvergroot. bij sommigen is dat vreugde maar bij zeer velen zijn het harde en moeilijke dingen.

Been busy, haven't had the time to read the last few days..
Beautiful poem, I understand the sentiments since I'm not much of a christmas fan.
Besides, Santa Claus is too fat, ugly and old. It should be a pretty girl. Wanna bet that all boys would behave much better if this was the case?
