The Watching I
Through the dark tunnel into the light
a child is born in the night
under a star malevolently bright
burdened with a second sight
child born under the brightest star
will always have to travel far
bereft of love the earliest scar
childhood rape the deepest mar
potential smothered by ignorance
freedom offers no deliverance
nonetheless life asks to dance
always offering a new chance
dancing in the moonlight eyes in the sky
bright star fades, in loving goodbye
tough road dealt, no-one will deny
no longer a need to wonder why
well pleased, the internal watching I
look at the moon, my son! look at my son, moon! killea: Thank you very much, Miepe
