door killea

Stepping into the arena
falling to my knees
screaming out in anguish
hear me, hear my pleas
fast forward this life
let this time pass in a flash
give me tranquility
as my world begins to crash

to the white falls He leads
reaches out and takes my hand
gives me time to catch my breath
from my finger he removes the band
feel the love for life not death
open hands filled with opportunity
inner smile keeps growing
with strength of the only truth
the internal spark of knowing

stepping out of the arena
into the storm face forward
consequences will be taken
as I head ever shoreward
the crazy starts to make sense
start running for the need
to be free of all the pretence
falling on my knees in gratitude
for a life so exceedingly intense

  wat meer kan verdriet nog dragen dat zelfs het zwarte daagt achter de rug van de mens ... en toch is er hoop dat kan vragen om wat is te laten worden wat niemand nog had verwacht ..

  intense weergave van wanhoop én intense weergave van hoop
  
  volgens mij staat er wel één foutje in: héél dit gedicht IS liefde voor leven.
  Wat jij 'love for death' noemt is enkel verzuchting naar het einde van lijden. Dat is de Dood soms. De dood kan ook 'a real killer' zijn die zeer gelukkige mensen treft.
  
  pfff, 't is misschien maar wiskunde, maar ik zie dat graag correct :)
