The Fugitive
Through the dark and dreary dead of night
I race at breakneck speed
headlong towards the looming end
Frantically I fight to spread
my broken wings and rise
above this thorny labyrinth
for I cannot breath its putrid air
nor bear its horrid stench
Nay, to rise above I do so crave
to fly and find The One
that from before the dawn of time
so cruelly from my aching side was torn
and placed upon a distant shore
For Her tender lips I yearn
Her soothing touch I crave
as She is naught but part
of my ripped and bleeding heart
If I could but for a fleeting breath
lie within Her kind caress
or taste the sweetness of Her lips
I will have known eternal bliss

Frantically?
Herkenbaar, maar zou iets minder "emphasis" leggen via hoofdletters, want is of op een of andere manier beetje afbreuk doen aan uw eigen overtuigingskracht, want daar moet ge eigenlijk niet aan twijfelen als ge het mij vraagt...;o)
To say less, is to say more.., no?
And be still, your beating heart, only time can tell and really nothing else willl deliver truth and bone! Accept that time is not yours, and not yours to command...;
But really do hope that in the end, appearences kept high
will let go and let you fly!
Ps: A million miles away was a cover van Kim Wilde (Wel maar ik niet...;o), wat mij betreft een heel mooi nummer op dit godless hour!
