red, deep red wine
a most delectable vine
feeling bad, real bad today
in a most delicious way
play the music you send
read the words you penned
taste your lips on mine
recalled a summer so fine
when you left today
I lost my way
in daydreams conceived
heart and soul believed
when we walked in the storm
something incredible born
beautiful, fragile, vulnerable line
red, deep red summer wine
on our blossomed terrace
watch out for polaris
but for clouds you'd see it too
but for clarity you'd live true
as I sip of the grape so fine
let my thoughts relax, recline
if I am yours and you are mine
a toast to red wine, don't breach the line

If I remember correctly (which I normally tend to do ;o), the thin red line is the name for the English foot-army back in the days, side to side, and their red army suits...;o)
Guess this is more the feeling of the song of UB40..;o)

Ook mijn Engels is niet zo best maar ik heb zo mijn trucjes.
Wat ik begrepen heb van dit gedicht is; dat je terug kijkt in de tijd waarin je samen rode wijn proefde en dat die beelden langzaam verbleekten en ook de smaak verschaalde

Je schrijft erg mooi, ik lees je enorm graag ook al begrijp ik soms niet exact wat de betekenis is, de grote lijnen zijn altijd duidelijk genoeg. Maar het is vooral je stijl die het hem doet voor mij.
