The willows cried
The willows' hands stretched out
waving, pleading, in the wind
the old, long fronds suckled the water
they had heard
carried on the airstream
in the blustery weather
fracture, split, groaning of an oak
escaping it's metal bonds
booming into collapse
they heard, the old fronds
the mighty crash
weeping
for the solace of a child
remaining living witness
of her bondage, has died

Ja, hij is gevallen, ondanks de hulpmiddelen.
Ironisch dat het neerzetten van een scheidingsmuurtje hem ondermijnde.. een groot deel van de wortels doorsneed.....Maar men laat de stronk staan in de hoop dat hij weer uit zal botten... Ik denk dat Anne mee heeft gesproken....mooi gedicht.... killea: thank you Dora
