The sun, a blinder of the truth
what lies within our soul
for a while we forget
in summer's warm glow
the pain caused by a troll
sweet and beautiful
tease and please the eye
the inner smouldering coal
fantasies
beer and heat
take over self-control
Autumn with its colours
pull one back in line
innate sadness reappears
to reality transcendent
yet betrayal of the sun
reached deep into the heart
and longing for the summer
felt like a shopping cart
filled to the brim
opportunities of sin
when winter blows away
the lecherous grin
for comfort of the hearth
which will not conform
nor sweetly give in
an everlasting chagrin
