The day will come…
Once women were chattels
men bonded in serfdom from birth
what, tell me what has changed
with humanity on this earth
slavery was abolished by law
between 1777 and 1833
compassionate men fought hard and well
here and there human beings were set free
now 2010 almost gone, so civilised
we head with excitement for 2011
though our sisters now live in slavery hell
whereas it should've been heaven
in the God-forsaken Africa
and in many places elsewhere
daily female genital mutilation
is what our little girls have to bear
every morning and night an airport crowd
Brussels overrated, and over paid
to squabble about the sums of money
to keep them employed distributing aid
more than half our global sisters
have to hide their hair and faces
survival obedience, so as not to insult
their moronic men's disgraces
slavery, let's just get back to that
children in Asia, Africa and elsewhere
forced to work, little fingers so fine
should be nurtured, educated with care
our sisters sold and bought like cattle
little hope of help or redemption
the slavery of today, a losing battle
lured by promises of tax exemption
the screen of the computer tells the tale
sex sold in all possible versions
from paedophilia and asian dildo trios
for men to satisfy their personal perversions
not only women but men as well
slaves of corporations which sack the brave
hire the desperate instead of their own
to work in desolation and enslave
long lived slavery, it only has a different face
now delegated by the faceless who dominate
the day will come when women, and honourable men
will rise up with hate,and find you all to eliminate…
when once again we unite
beware of the day when chains will break
history has forever repeated itself

Ik doe mijn pet af voor dit gedicht J. Ik heb deze week tijdens het zien van een documentaire (een meisje dat in afganistan op bezoek was en het lot van haar zusters aldaar beschreef) tranen in mijn ogen gehad. Ik zei tegen mijn man "waar zitten nu al die feministen , waarom laten wij onze stem niet meer horen ? Er is nog veel werk aan de winkel voor de vrouw echt "bevrijd " zal zijn J.

de mens in essentie die onderwerpt en vernedert man of vrouw beiden doen het elkaar aan, waarbij de vrouw als fysiek minder sterke vaker het onderspit ondergaat terwijl de man als kanonnenvlees het slachtveld verlaat door een oorlog die niet de zijne is. de slavernij is nooit weggeweest, de ilussie en perceptie is veranderd, wie werkt er enkel voor een beetje eten en wat onderdak, en kan zich niets anders permiteren omdat de centen er niet zijn? ach deze wereld is niet zoals die lijkt en dat is nog heel zacht gesproken denk ik dan maar
