A rosebush grows amongst the rubble
defying the crush of broken dreams

losing strength to find them again
in the gush of heavenly tears
rushing towards the drain

as I lose myself in the lost
letting go of my dreams
so high the ultimate cost

storms from the east collide
tearing at the heart laid bare
in my bubble where I hide

rosebush growing amongst the debris
dreams of buds which will bloom

unaware of the coming clean-up
twilight whispers
soon, soon, soon………so soon
