for ceremonies of remembrance
a symbol from the fields of Flanders
for those who died so young
Australian and New Zealand Army Corps
who took the final fall
huge losses at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915
suffering and dying in Japanese internment
Vietnam, Afghanistan, they departed
again and again and again
heroes in all pointless wars
we revere you every year
on this day of remembrance
