Cracked
Cracked
I did not hear it but felt the crack
the mirror fractured artistically
chinks of diamond-shaped lines
vision exchanged surrealistically
mirror, mirror on the wall
who, tell me now is the fool
that is so split in many pieces
the mirror smiled, began to drool
prince of darkness has come and gone
the reflection is your heart so strong
cut in chunks that perfectly fit
all will come right what is wrong
and bit by bit every little split
will meld again and I shall shine
all by myself without any kit
the image that you will see
will not be the fool you feel,
there's more to life than broken things
start dancing, no longer an ordeal
I kissed the mirror and thanked it well
it was midday and heard the sweet sound
of the daily knell of the noontime spell

thanks to Justus von Liebig who made the fitst one as we know them nowadays: wenn man Aldehyd mit einer Silbernitratlössung mischt und erhitzt, scheidet sich Silber auf der Wand des Glases ab und es entsteht ein brillianter Spiegel killea: Aha, so that's what happened, does it speak then too?
