bleed from the stabs

so vicious, so cruel

for being so bombastic
thieves in the night
steeling wrong from right
in believing lies
the secreted cries
for what was given and taken
left the fool forsaken
to bear the cost
of ethical lines crossed

it is not foolish to yearn
for what is lost…
