The strength I show after
all I have been through
borne with grace, dignity
inertly, and outwardly, yet,
deep inside a harbour of
fragility, the thinnest, crystal
champagne glass
chipped, here and there
making it useless, except
to torment me endlessly
mocking, with the power
another chip, and another
brings me to my knees
a glass so ragged and sharp,
blood of lips would mingle,
if one dared to drink,
with the wine-red blood
which drips and drips
from my caged heart...
