The gentle sea kissed the shore
lapping at my feet, cool, soft, it swished
back and forth, back and forth
I walk on and on in contemplation
whilst depraved sand sucks at my toes,
how I wished in this luxurious moment
I had no knowledge of how I was duped
memories destroyed, forever deployed,
ocean collects my tears of regret
with each new swishing, sweet wave
to bury the past in a salty grave…
