Two Drunks
on an early morning walk
through the Botanical Gardens
I came across two drunks
the happy pair tottered and reeled
towards me, almost falling over
blissfully unaware of my presence
and although it was obvious from
the visible remains
of fermented figs around their bills
I asked them what on earth
had they been up to
staggering and bleary eyed
unfazed by my query
they waddled past
and gave me a feeble quack

killea: Thanks Matahari. It was the most hilarious experience, two ducks were totally drunk from eating fermented figs which had fallen on the ground. bits of the figs were still hanging out of their beaks. and they could barely walk without falling over. Now read it again and you will understand quite clearly. I know you will.
