Looking in the mirror I wonder who the person is glaring back
she looks authentic, brushing her hair, lopsided green eyes open wide with fear
where did she come from, where is she going with her mouth on her forehead
behind her ear a rose does appear, then the ears disappear, can she still hear
or is the melting nose able to sniff the rose, she applies make-up
canvas blank, ready to paint again, quick before the oils congeal
an eye, an eye, a nose, a mouth, this time putting it south, paint runs
drips and splatters, sometimes mornings are so fucking surreal!
