Nine Wild Horses
Nine wild horses blocking the path
in the shade of a magical tree
I asked what does this mean
they were all facing away from me
I spoke to them to warn of my approach
so beautiful, as if they were tamed
and as I moved between them
each told how they were named
one for Sorrow
two for Pain
three for Desperation
four for Shame
five for Tears
six for Disdain
seven for Fears
eight for Blame
nine for Insane
such splendour, stillness and silence
encasing man's emotional grief
nine wild horses stood still on my path
I was moved beyond belief
leaving them behind with new insight
turned, just wanted to see
imprint their tranquility on my mind
again they had turned away from me
