Weekend
Weekend after weekend we do the same
and every time it is different again
just when I think we have mastered the game
we take it up a notch, a tick further we aim
lust for simplicity, captured in a blink
drunk with life, no need to have a drink
your passion takes me over the brink
I faint or whimper as we interlink
three days is all we have to spare
every moment we resplendently share
surpassing all expectations, so rare
I breathe in your breath my energy air
as all good things must come to an end
the days in between much mail is penned
separation so hard to endure or comprehend
until next weekend my mate, my lover, my friend
