Pain and Passion
Storm still won't level out
pounding on the very existence
tens of triggers hammering
with intentional persistence
determined not to break
she presents her strength at best
though all she wants to do
is curl up in his nest
when they touch it pacifies
he kisses her tender, sweet
he breathes out and she inhales
extremities entwine under the sheet
slowly as anxiety abates
a new tension grows in heat
nothing else but this matters
sensations of being complete
as they lie wrapped around
in their familiar fashion
life's tempests seem so far away
from their all-consuming passion
