blackbird shrieks
blood rains over meadow
church bells ring
smudged eye-shadow

why, are there no answers
doubled over by wind's gust
is peace in a grave
for the promise, the trust
shut down the lines
give over to the dark
embrace wings of shade
step through the final arc
