Shadows end
The morning sun casts
my solitary shadow ahead
swollen eyes behind shades
hide the invasion of sorrows
of the past long night
whilst innocence presumed
slept with dreams obscure
they say I am changed
and it is true no doubt
they may borrow my shoes
to take a walkabout
shall silence be my refuge
as distance became my foe
still early, shadow disappears
the sun has gone down
or do I no longer exist
