Listening between the lines
of what is said
the inner brooding begins
opening my heart again
would be the key
to expand our universe
but startling perspectives
of the sordid underbelly
dying from the deadly memories
living for the good ones
dreams stomped into the ground
others taking form for joy
like August Rodin's first cast
sitting, thinking, of saving
the dye I have had to typecast
scarlet thoughts as promises
died like the un-wanted plant
I so sweet, and uplifted
my sister so sour and defeated
we drink out of the same glass
a brew to the future, so sad
with a toast to the coming bliss
as only love is important in life
and we both know this
spoken bitter, under the oath
a catapult of untruth
